In an age where students often rely on quick internet searches for answers, educators’ challenge is fostering deep reading comprehension and creativity. This article explores how using ePortfolios can transform the elementary classroom, providing a solution that enhances comprehension and empowers students with ownership of their learning. According to Harapnuik (2018), ePortfolios enable students to take control of their learning by offering choice, voice, and ownership. Additionally, Scully, O’Leary, and Brown (2018) emphasize that learning portfolios encourage critical self-reflection and lifelong learning, helping to demonstrate a broad range of skills that can improve future opportunities. Aimed at educators, administrators, and instructional coaches, this work provides practical strategies for integrating ePortfolios to promote critical thinking, creativity, and meaningful student engagement in the learning process.
