In the field of education, having an active voice or being an influencer means taking responsibility for inspiring and leading change. Harapnuik, Thibodeaux, and Cummings (2023) emphasize that being an influential educator involves fostering meaningful learning, challenging the status quo, and creating spaces where others can grow and thrive. It means embracing the challenge of sharing ideas that promote innovation, being open to new perspectives, and collaborating to improve educational practices.
One of the most effective ways to share these ideas and connect with others is through podcasts. Harapnuik and Thibodeaux highlight how digital tools provide a platform to amplify our voices, encourage authentic conversations, and create content that inspires other educators. Podcasts are accessible, dynamic, and highly creative, making them an excellent way to reach a broad and diverse audience.
As a collaborative group, we used this platform to connect our innovation proposals, aligning with Harapnuik and Cummings’ advocacy for integrating technology into learning. While each of us has a unique focus, we found common ground in exploring how educational technology can transform teaching in the 21st century. We designed a space for dialogue where our ideas stand individually and complement each other, providing a holistic view of how to address current educational challenges.
In this podcast, our team—Desiree Lopez, Doyna Johnston, Angelica Padron, and Angelica Alvarez—shares unique perspectives and innovative approaches to blended learning and ePortfolios. Each episode is thoughtfully designed to engage educators, students, and anyone curious about the evolving landscape of education.
We hope you enjoy these episodes as much as we loved creating them! Together, we explore strategies that foster creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and ownership of learning through blended learning environments and the integration of ePortfolios. Whether you’re an educator, administrator, or lifelong learner, this podcast is here to inspire and spark meaningful conversations about the future of education.
Thank you for joining us on this exciting journey with Mix, Match, and Learn!
