Contribution to your
Learning and your Learning Community
During my experience in this program, I have gained a new perspective on learning and my role within the educational community. My view of learning has completely changed; I now see myself and others in a different light. I am more open to all learning styles and recognize that everyone I encounter contributes in some way to my learning journey. I have started applying course concepts across all areas of my life, which has transformed my thinking. My relationships with colleagues, family, and friends have shown significant growth. I have identified areas where I once thought there would never be change, but my new perspective has allowed me to see possibilities and progress.
As I entered the program’s second courses, I felt more confident and prepared to take on the role of learner and leader. Although I was physically well-prepared, I was surprised to learn how much I would grow during these courses. Despite eventually slipping back into submitting my work on time rather than early, I realized. In terms of self-evaluation, I gaveI needed that extra time to process higher-order thinking. I am proud of my accomplishments and grateful for the opportunity to learn.
In the past eight weeks, my focus has been on change, though I initially needed to recognize the exciting duality between EDLD5302 Educational Technology Concepts and EDLD5304 Leading Organizational Change. EDLD5302 focused on my internal change, while EDLD5304 addressed external change. The potential to synthesize work between these two courses was incredible.
I have completed all course readings and resources, In terms of self-evaluation, I give myself a grade of 95 for both courses. Although I am satisfied with my growth in less than 16 weeks, I recognize that there is room for improvement. Moving forward, I will focus on completing my assignments before the deadline to receive more helpful feedback from my peers and improve my work based on their suggestions. Additionally, I will be more intentional about transferring my notes to a digital format to facilitate feedback.
I have learned that there is no reason to feel intimidated by others; everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and if we support each other, our development will be much faster and more complete than we ever imagined. I am excited about this journey and am grateful to be part of this program.
